PRP Treatment
It is the name given to the treatment with plasma enriched in platelets, one of the blood cells. Blood is basically divided into two parts. The plasma and cells part consists of three types of cell groups: red blood cells, white blood cells and blood platelets. PRP is obtained from the plasma part of the blood. The function of platelets is to ensure blood clotting and to secrete growth factors that will accelerate wound healing. In recent years, it has been observed that good results have been achieved with its increasing use in facial aesthetics for skin rejuvenation. Many scientific studies are still ongoing on this subject. PRP application is performed with plasma obtained from the person's own blood. Approximately 10 cc of blood is taken, passed through special filters and centrifuged. In this way, platelets are made ready for application. It is used in all areas that require skin renewal and care, such as the face, eye area, neck, décolleté and scalp. It initiates the repair process for deep wrinkles, eliminates volume losses, and initiates the formation of a new tissue that is the same as the tissue surrounding the area where it was created. Thanks to special kits, PRP can be performed as a very safe application. If necessary preparation and sterility are taken into consideration, no side effects are observed. PRP application can be done with 4-5 ml of plasma obtained. The method of application is based on injection with fine-tipped needles, as in mesotherapy application. The application takes approximately 45 minutes. If PRP application is performed in 3 sessions with an interval of 2-3 weeks and then every 6-12 months, it will be sufficient to obtain the desired results. It may take several weeks from the first application to see the maximum expected effect.
